Psychology is taught at A-Level. Psychology is defined as the scientific study of the mind and behaviour; psychologists study how people feel, act and think. Studying A-Level Psychology develops skills in the analysis and interpretation of a wide variety of research evidence.

Compulsory topics studies during the course: 

Social Influence, memory, attachment, psychopathology, approaches in psychology, biopsychology, research methods, issues and debates in psychology. 

Optional topics are chosen by staff and could include: 

• Cognition and development, relationships and gender. 
• Schizophrenia, eating behaviour and stress. 
• Forensic psychology, aggression and addiction.
