Sports Dinner

The dazzling Beaconsfield High School Sports Dinner on Friday September 9  celebrated the school's sporting successes with special guest of honour Team GB hockey player Olympic gold medallist Shona McCallin whose inspirational message to students was "If you never lose, then you have never been tested”

Head teacher, Rachel Smith, said: “Every year we celebrate our sport successes. We have girls who play in numerous sports and some have gone international.

“We had almost 200 parents and ex-students there who were awarded with cups and trophies for different sports.

"It was a big 'thank you' to parents and staff who have played a part in helping the girls, and to the students for working so hard.

The annual dinner raised £1500 to support extra-curricular activities at the school and Shona donated a pair of her Team GB shorts from Rio and a signed chocolate gold medal.
