BHS student and alumnae help win European U21 Netball Title

By Miss McGonigle

Three Beaconsfield High School current and past students competed for the England U21 netball team over the weekend at the Netball European Championships, winning the European title!

Anya Wood (current year 13), Tash Pavelin (Year 13 lever 2016) and Frankie Wells (Y11 leaver 2011 & current PE staff) all represented England U21 in Aberdeen. They beat Northern Ireland 78-23, Wales 65-26 and Scotland 68-31.

Beaconsfield High School students made up 25% of the England U21 team, which is absolutely amazing - these girls have worked incredibly hard to get selected for the side and we are extremely proud of them.

The coach of the team was Kat Ratnapala, who coaches Beaconsfield High School’s U16 and U18 teams this year. We are incredibly lucky to have Kat on board, as well as our remarkable students. A massive Becky High well done to them all!
