BHS is 50
This year Beaconsfield High School celebrate 50 years of outstanding education for local girls. Her Royal Highness, the Duchess of Kent officially opened the school on the 3rd October 1967.
Since opening its doors in 1966, thousands of students and staff have benefitted from the happy, friendly nature and academic success of the school.
In celebration, the school is planning a range of events for students, staff, alumnae and the local community to enjoy throughout 2016 and 2017.
The festivities will begin in July with “BeckyFest”, the school’s inaugural open air music festival, featuring live music and a DJ to entertain students, staff, family and friends.
Following this will be a golden jubilee party for alumnae on Saturday 17 September 2016.
In 2017, a time capsule and tree will be planted to mark 50 glorious years and after several other smaller celebrations, the 2016-17 academic year will be rounded off with a birthday fiesta for current students.
The school has much to be proud of and our jubilee year gives us an opportunity to celebrate 50 years of remarkable success, while looking forward to an even brighter future.
